Volunteering with SSIA
There are many different opportunities to volunteer with Successful Schools in Action, from tutoring to graphic design. As a small non-profit, we rely on volunteers to help in many different capacities, and thank all those who support SSIA and our students through their generous volunteer efforts.

We always appreciate volunteers who can help with our Collaborative Conversations or other events by assisting with organization, facilitation, photography, and notetaking.

Our Debate Program utilizes volunteers in a number of different capacities. Our need is greatest at our cross school debate tournaments, where volunteers assist with judging, scoring, and administration.

If you have ever wondered how you might really connect with students in your community and make a difference for them academically, please consider volunteering as a Community Tutor. At SSIA we work to establish committed, sustainable relationships through careful consideration of your skills and availability paired with our familiarity with individual schools’ needs. Our mission is to place trained tutors in the classroom during the school day to assist teachers with students primarily in small group and one-on-one situations. To accomplish this we offer you one-on-one training to add confidence to the skills you already possess.

We look forward to hearing from you!
